When to Book Your Newborn Session
Newborn sessions are usually done within the first few weeks, when babies tend to be sleepier and more settled.
That said, there’s no strict cut-off. If your baby is a little older, we simply approach the session in a more relaxed and natural way.
The best time to book is after your 20-week scan, so we can reserve a flexible space around your due date.
If your baby has already arrived, you’re always welcome to get in touch — I’ll do my best to fit you in if I have availability.

- a space for siblings to get distracted while waiting
Nothing feels rushed — you can take your time while I take care of everything.

Every newborn session at Fox Photo with Eloisa Viana designed to capture the quiet beauty of your baby’s first days.
Your session is unhurried, allowing plenty of time for feeding, cuddles and settling, so we can create timeless images at your baby’s pace.
This experience includes:
- A relaxed, guided newborn session, focused on your baby’s comfort and natural connection
- Experiences lasts up to 2 hours
- Use of my collection of neutral wraps, blankets and props
- Gentle, baby-led posing throughout
- Parents and siblings are very welcome
- A minimum of 20 professionally edited images to choose from
- 10 selected images presented in a fine art accordion mini album 8x8
Two weeks later, you’ll come back for your viewing appointment, where your gallery — specially curated for this moment — will be revealed and you can choose the photographs and fine art products you’d love the most.
Booking Fee: €90 (non-refundable)
The session fee is paid at the time of booking and will be deducted from the total package price.

Where do the sessions take place?
My studio is located in Portlaoise, Co. Laois, with easy access from the M7, and plenty of free parking.
Clients regularly travel from:

- Surrounding counties
Experiences are on weekedays or saturdays mornings, in a comfortable and relaxed space for your family.
When should I book my Newborn session?
It’s ideal to book your newborn session while you are still pregnant — newborn sessions are most commonly done within the first 2 weeks of life when babies are typically calm and sleepy.
If your little one arrives early or later than expected, just let me know as soon as you can and I’ll work with you to find the best time for your session.
Do you offer sessions for older babies?
Absolutely. I don’t have a strict age limit. Whether your baby is a few days or a few months old, I’ll follow their lead and create natural images. Just note that the further they are away from the magic two weeks old they are the more likely they will be awake and less 'posable' for our session.
What happens during the session?
When you arrive, I take a few minutes to chat with you and get to know your baby.
I usually begin with family and sibling portraits, but everything is completely baby-led. If your baby needs feeding, cuddles, or a little break, I pause. The flow of the session can change at any time — your baby’s comfort always comes first.
Do we need to bring anything?
If your baby is bottle-fed or mixed-fed, please bring some extra milk. I also recommend bringing a pacifier — even if your baby doesn’t normally use one — as it can help soothe them during the session.
If siblings are joining, it’s helpful to bring a small toy and their favourite snack.
I provide all wraps, blankets, props, and baby outfits for the session. Any additional details about clothing and preparation will be shared with you in a preparation guide before your session.
When will we receive our images?
After your session, your gallery will be carefully edited and prepared.
You will receive your images within the timeframe discussed at booking, and any prints or albums are ordered once your selection is finalised.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes.
I understand that this is an investment, and payment plans can be discussed before booking to make things easier for your family. Payment plans are also available for printed products and wall art collections.
